I hate smalltalk, but here goes. I like to get to the soul of the matter pretty quickly. I am looking for adventure and exploration -- where interior journeys are at least as important as geographic travels. Cultural excursions are a must. The arts are very important to me -- think live theater, live music, good films, occasional karaoke. I also like a good discussion about world events and broader cultural issues -- especially when there can be a truly interesting exchange of ideas. other stuff about me: I'm often a KCRW and NPR junkie. Lately, what I could be looking for is a partner for swing dance lessons. I also enjoy live jazz, the symphony, and indie films. I enjoy cooking and entertaining, and I specialize in the pursuit of culinary and cultural adventures. Los Angeles is an endless source of discoveries. I love to get off-the-grid and find lesser known venues. I dig road trips, I love to drive and explore. My tastes run toward the eccentric and strange, but I have also been known to just sit back and watch a cheesy DVD. I grew up in San Francisco and Los Angeles, with many years spent in San Diego during my former life as a theater producer. New York is my blood (my parents are native New Yorkers), and although people often wonder if I'm from there, I'm pure California, born and bred.
